OUR STORY

Our founders, Michael and Angela smith, have both lived their lives in love with the water. whether a pond, river, lake, or the sea - the water has represented so many things in their lives - mystery, calmness, beauty, excitement, and possibility. this love for the water, and the need to get out there, helped create their interest and passion for boats. after Buying and selling personal boats over the years, there was often a theme when dealing with many in the industry - the intimidation factor. There is so much to learn to operate a boat, from safety requirements, boat ramp pressure, navigating the waters, to simply knowing what to do (and not do). Fear can easily take over and prevent potential boaters from ever experiencing the fun that a day on the water has to offer. Through many years of experience in sales, small-business development, and corporate Business management, the smith's decided they were ready to jump in, and do things differently - to make boating welcoming, simple, and fun. with the belief that names are prophetic, a lot of thought went into what they were going to name their business. not ironically, it was during a Sunday school class that Mark 1:17 was read and discussed. Jesus speaks on the concept of Being a fisher of men - motivating his disciples to utilize their talents to attract others to something different, something more. without knowing the others thoughts - this smith's spoke that evening and both were excited, yet not surprised, that 'fishers' was going to be the name of their new adventure. so they embarked on a new journey, setting a course to be a different kind of marine company - free from intimidation - designed with a process making things simple, and driven with a spirit of helping others catch the feeling that we all chase. so, climb aboard and Let's get on the water!
